Another view of Wigmore Castle. The easily recognisable arch and walls of the original castle gatehouse, filled in by soil slips over the years.

All that remains today of the main household structure high on the outcrop at Wigmore Castle. To mark this day when Roger Mortimer, 1st Earl fo March, was born 1287.

The Dragon Well at Brinsop, Herefordshire, where the stone marks the spot on which St George killed the dragon, in the field just beyond the church wall. Not exactly eye-catching but all part of the tradition.
