I’m so glad that Severance knows what Westworld, GoT and Lost never seemed to - it can be just as satisfying to predict a twist as it is to be shocked by it. You just have to make sure the twist isn’t arbitrary. You need to know it’s coming, whether the audience does or not

movies have come such a long way since back then. it's probably because cameras didn't have built-in screens, but so many old movies have these weird glares, reflection, and other artefacts obstructing the actor. just another reminder that some things *are* getting better.
