I’m increasingly convinced that not watching the Olympic opening ceremony, and instead piecing it together via twitter takes is the way to go.

Annual #EdFringe recommendations request. We’ve got lots of comedy lined up, but are on the look out for #LGBTIQ theatre. Open to anything, but I love a good musical, or a moving little play. Bonus request for any shows about #childbirth, #reproductiverights or repro science!

As usual there is an absolute abundance of wonderful LGBT+ theatre of all shapes and sizes - this thread is a wonderful resource for anyone looking for recommendations!

I seriously hope that whoever came up with ‘VPN: Vagina Privacy Network’ for this digital reproductive health data initiative took the rest of the day off! So good! vaginaprivacynetwork.org

We really need to stop policing people’s bodies, testosterone levels and chromosomal make-up. Disguised under the discourse of fair play and equality, it is just a pulsion to order bodies into binary & racialised stereotypes of what normal embodiment should be like.

It’s the first day of #EdFringe. Here’s a poem called ‘Unleash’ we commissioned Glasgow-based non-binary poet Gray Crosbie to write for inclusion in our #SomewhereForUs LGBTQ+ 🏳️‍🌈 Edinburgh Fringe Guide. We hope you all have a safe and happy Fringe! #UnleashYourFringe Edinburgh Festival Fringe

‘There is a long history of “gender testing” in sport. From 1958 to 1992, all women Olympic athletes were required to have their gender “verified” by a chromosomal evaluation.’ Mireia Garcés de Marcilla on Imane Khelif and the eligibility rules for women’s sport: lrb.co.uk/blog/2024/augu…

Really excited to be joining the The SLS conference for the day. I’ll be an absolute imposter in the European Law stream, presenting with Anastasia Siapka on FemTech & Gendered Risk in the GDPR this PM. But first, looking forward to hearing the SLSHealthLaw presentations!

So excited for this wonderful workshop! Having space for deep discussion about new ideas is such so incredibly valuable (and increasingly rare), and I’m grateful to Mireia Garcés de Marcilla and Zaina Mahmoud || زينة محمود🔻 for creating this one 💛
