Sweden is a leader in humanitarian action. Energized by great conversation in Stockholm with State Secretary Diana Janse on strengthening our vital Sweden - OCHA partnership.

Delighted to share that today, UN Humanitarian signed a multiyear funding agreement with Qatar🇶🇦. The anticipated outcome? Strengthened humanitarian coordination and response. Qatar is a trusted and reliable humanitarian partner. Shukran, Alya Ahmed Saif Al Thani & team for today's dialogue.

Local & regional authorities play a growing role in humanitarian responses, yet their support often goes unrecognized. Today, UN Humanitarian & Global Cities Hub gathered leaders to strengthen partnerships and address changing humanitarian landscapes. Together, we #InvestInHumanity.

The United Nations values and principles we adhered to eighty years ago remain the same. Our geopolitical context is changing, but you can count on the EU as the UN’s most reliable partner. My address at the United Nations Security Council ↓ x.com/i/broadcasts/1…

The humanitarian movement is in Geneva to regroup and renew. The stakes are high, resources low, but our mandate is clear: saving as many lives as we can with the funding we have. Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Weeks

It was a great meeting with Tormod C. Endresen 🇳🇴 Norway continues to lead by example—as chair of the UN Humanitarian Donor Support Group, they are helping us shape global responses to the clear and present humanitarian challenges. We are very grateful for this partnership and support.

Within hours of the #Myanmar earthquake, CERF - The UN's emergency fund released funds to rush in food, water and urgent supplies. Donors supporting the UN's Emergency Fund allow the UN and partners to urgently scale up and reach those hardest hit. Tom Fletcher saw the impact in action. ⬇️

I’ve just released $5M more from CERF - The UN's emergency fund for urgent needs in Myanmar. But we need $275M to help communities rebuild and recover. We, humanitarians, are on the ground, helping save lives. We need the rest of the world to stand with us. crisisrelief.un.org/myanmar-earthq…

In a time of unprecedented humanitarian needs, grateful to sign a new grant agreement with Mr. Waleed Sh. Al-Bahar of الصندوق الكويتي للتنمية in support of UN Humanitarian managed Somalia Humanitarian Fund. This funding will help deliver life-saving aid in #Somalia. Together we #InvestInHumanity

#OCHAthanks Norway🇳🇴 for your commitment and leadership this year. And we are delighted to welcome Germany🇩🇪 to chair the UN Humanitarian Donor Support Group as we collectively serve millions of people around the world. Together, we #InvestInHumanity.
