We are back in Uppsala to hold our 6th General Assembly of SuSaNa_project . Very nice dinner with the team in a cozy little restaurant last night.

We have a new doctor! Souzan Hammadi successfully defended her thesis on Friday, titled "Mesoscopic and Atomistic Insights into the Microstructural Evolution of Energy Storage Materials". The faculty opponent was Prof. Arnulf Latz from the Helmholtz Institute Ulm 🔋. Congratulations!

Alicia van Hees, supervised by Chao Zhang Chao Zhang, is delivering this week’s Battery Monday Seminar titled “Protonic reactivity – computational studies of bulk and interfacial effects”.

If you completed your PhD within the last seven years and are seeking an academic career in solid-state chemistry & inorganic battery materials, there is an exciting ”Assistant Professor” position available Ångström Advanced Battery Centre at Uppsala University! 🔋#BattChat uu.se/en/about-uu/jo…

Today, I received a group of talented students pursuing their Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, led by Prof. Hans Edin, as part of the planned study visit from the InnoEnergy #SENSE program: Smart Electrical Networks and Systems at Department of Chemistry - Ångström

Our new paper once again deals with #battery, #electrolyte, and #ionics. The developed methodology is as general as it gets, while the electrochemical cell is designed for semi-solid electrolytes. Nice collaboration with Ångström Advanced Battery Centre sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

We’re excited to share our latest open-access publication in Materials Today Energy, Elsevier Materials Science, “Unveiling chemomechanical degradation in aqueous batteries with online acoustic emission sensing”, featured in the special issue "Promising Early Career Scientists 2025". In this

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to TU Chemnitz and TU Dresden in the past several days, many thanks to my local hosts, Dr. Minshen Zhu@TU Chemnitz and Dr. Minghao Yu@TUD. Highly interesting and relevant research progress shared by the two research groups, truly looking forward to fruitful

In today’s Battery Seminar, Anastasia Teck presented her PhD thesis work at Imperial College London, titled “Interface stability in aluminium graphite dual-ion batteries.” She is now a postdoc researcher with Guiomar Hernandez, developing polymer electrolytes for Li-metal batteries.
