For those upset with me for highlighting the unfairness of this man competing in the women’s hurdles because they think I’m being “unkind,” I would ask, “And is his insistence on competing in this category not unkind to the woman standing next to him?” Selective kindness is not

This is the key challenge for Wes Streeting MP if he becomes SoS, completely changing NHS England's focus onto primary and community care. It will take enormous political strength, and will require wholesale culture change at the top of Department of Health and Social Care, which has been antiGP for 20 yrs

Here is the heart of the problem. It is not just the Israeli President who believes that all Palestinians in Gaza are guilty, as CIJ_ICJ noted, many many Israelis agree with him, including much of the army and the security services, as we see in the clip below. Hence the

I really don't understand the level of denialism on the hole the UK finds itself it. GDP is a huge 24% below its pre-fin crisis trend - that's £23,000 per household.

Useful commentary on the thread as well. We’ve got to stop thinking that money is the only problem holding the NHS back.

My respect for GPs quadrupled when I worked as FY2 on GP Placement. This is what I witnessed. - GPs had excellent knowledge base which was wider than any specialist and they were keeping that up to date with ever changing guidelines and protocols. - GPs had a constant flow of

Over the last four years, Hilary Cass has conducted the most robust review of the medical evidence for transitioning children that's ever been conducted. Mere hours after it was released to the press and public, committed ideologues are doubling down. 1/6

Excellent report. Describes how socio-cultural factors impact on people’s perception of their condition. Many parallels with ADHD where there has been a huge increase in presentation and young people after cursory assessment are being prescribed powerful and addictive drugs.

Graph showing consultants vs GPs 1950-2020. Prediction will be even more consultants per head of population vs GPs by 2040. This has to be reversed if we are to deal with needs of future population
