We’ve heard that some employers believe that a 5% pay increase, with 2% backdated to January 2023, is a ‘generous offer.’ With current RPI inflation at 14.2% this would be a 10% real pay cut only this year. RT if you agree this is not enough! #ucuRISING #EnoughIsEnough

Today all three campus trade unions Unite at the University of Sheffield Unison Sheffield sheffielducu.bsky.social held a hybrid open meeting for all staff to discuss the restructure proposal published last week by UEB. At its peak, there were nearly 600 staff online + in the room. That’s 7% of the staff body!
