A gentleman in a Vietnam Veteran hat walked up to me at early voting this morn to thank me for standing up for what’s right. I thanked him for his service defending those same values. It’s not the first time a vet or active duty member has thanked me, but it’s special every time.

At early voting today, a man said he was a lifelong Republican who voted for me. He said what happened was wrong—dangerous & un-American to take an elected official out of office—applauded my fight for what's right, and I'd done a great job in office. Yeah, that about sums it up.

Under Lying Suzy Lopez, crime is up—especially violent crime (according to official statewide statistics). She was handpicked to enforce DeSantis' 6-week abortion ban—to prosecute doctors, nurses & women. She's not keeping us safe and doesn't reflect our values. It's time to go.

I'm proud to have been elected 2x with support from Ds, Rs & NPAs. We aggressively prosecuted violent & repeat offenders, embraced mental health & drug treatment for low-level offenders. We made Hillsborough the safest large county in FL. Promises made, promises kept. 4 more yrs.

I've spent my career in public service—as a federal prosecutor then as your state attorney. I worked tirelessly to make our neighborhoods safer and our system better. And we had tremendous success. I'm running for re-election for my family & every family in our community.

Lopez cant stop lying about my record—not surprising given she was illegally appointed in a political stunt full of false allegations. The truth: on my watch crime was down 32%. We aggressively prosecuted the bad guys, improved our system, fought for victims, and sought justice.

I'm disappointed with the results but am proud of our race, our fight, and our success in office. I wish Lopez the best of luck going forward. Elections highlight our disagreement over people & policy, but democracy urges us to unite around shared goals & values. #GodBlessAmerica
