Live Booleans between multimillion meshes will appear in 3DCoat soon! Tested live subtraction between two 10M stones, and it works in real-time on my PC.

Found a way to improve the overall performance of 3DCoat; it is especially visible for paint tools, on my PC, changing the opacity of the layer on 8K texture takes 1/3 sec vs 1.2 sec before the optimization. So painting over 8K tex is smooth and fluent. This will be in 2023.30.

The 3DCoat 2023.30 with performance improvements is there - 3dcoat.com/forum/index.ph… No Live Booleans is included there, it is still in development, and this is crazy complex.

The website recovered, and the 2024.15 was released (3dcoat.com/forum/index.ph…). It has something really innovative - converting models with normal maps to real high poly geometry. Also, the Blender AppLink may drop the PBR vertex-painted model directly into Blender.
