Astonishingly pathetic performance by Duluth this weekend. CC not even playing Mbereko tonight. Something tells me that they'll "find it" and pull another Frozen Four rabbit out of their butt. Hope I'm wrong, for the sake of my liver.

Northeastern and UConn both winning tonight is good news for Duluth, who's trying to hang on to a NCAA Tournament berth on the women's side. It's down to Mercyhurst, Cornell, and Mankato as the teams that can knock UMD out if either of them win their conference tournament.

Commitments to SCSU over the last year or so indicate a justified focus by the coaching staff to shore up the defensive corps. Excited to see the how the blue line is shaping up for the future.

Seen lots of posts in this vein lately. I'll quibble that spring break isn't set dates that every school observes. The bigger point is valid though. Should move all NCAA hockey playoffs out of March altogether, not only to avoid spring break but also competing with March Madness

Women's side: Duluth, who went winless in regulation in the 13 games they played against other NCAA Tournament-qualifying teams this season, makes the tourney as the last at-large team. Overall seeds can still shuffle with the results of HE, WCHA, and ECAC finals.
