The sadly defunct Olympic Café, a grand old diner that used to be on Geary St in San Francisco. I had many great breakfasts there. Casein on board. I am very much liking casein and tipping my hat to James Gurney for alerting me to this lovely paint.

It was lovely to speak with The Art of VFX about all the VFX work on Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny: artofvfx.com/indiana-jones-…

Hand-made paintings & sculpted maquettes were part of the VFX creation process on ‘Dial of Destiny’ --> Production VFX supervisor Andrew Whitehurst from Industrial Light & Magic details more on de-ageing Harrison Ford, plus the film’s trip into the time fissure, at befores & afters magazine beforesandafters.com/2024/01/31/han…

Just had a great chat with the super-talented Andrew Whitehurst of Industrial Light & Magic about his VFX work on so many films including Ex Machina and Indiana Jones. I love that VFX artists become experts in so many things. Robots... Lara Croft's shorts... Harrison Ford's Face... Out soon.

Another Fantasy/Animation archive episode, this time our podcast from way back in November 2019 featuring special guest Andrew Whitehurst, who kindly joined Alex Sergeant and I to discuss the pleasures, politics, and posthumanism of Alex Garland's Ex Machina!
