Medical tourism for vaccines is going to become a thing. It's going to be on the Cabo resort activities calendar, along with beach volleyball.

Of course this is the correct ruling. AND of course LLM output should bear the repercussions of violating copyright law. Whether a neural net is trained in silicon or carbon, we should be consistent.

My single favorite thing about SF is public access to Kezar track. It's a legendary setting to do speed work and an amazing congregation spot for the SF running community. Hope this doesn't jeopardize that

What's the name for the mushy mean reversion of broad, online reviews? Pick 10 random book out at a bookstore that you have not heard of before. Look them up in Goodreads. Most will be 3.4-3.6. there's no signal here.

What's the best explainer on how this works? Like, who is my counterparty when I buy/sell OpenAI on RH Chain? Is it another trader? RH itself? Counterparty risk is everything if I don't know the actual company stock. And then does it mirror the stock price? How?

The Social Network, Mountainhead, Superpumped, etc all taste the same. The drama in building doesn't have to lay solely in some Faustian bargain. A founder story can be more than an anti-hero by the end. Halt and Catch Fire has mountains of nuance by comparison.

Remember when eBay started getting popular and the price of collectibles plummeted? Your Barry Bonds rookie card was only valuable when the competing supply was your local neighborhood swaps. When the market went online, inventory swamped demand and prices cratered.

It's very grounding to have an aggressively offline hobby. It's hard to Instagram while surfing, and you'll get a lot of grief from locals if you blow up a spot online. Being in the oceans for hours without devices is the closest I can get to time travel to the 90s.

Killer JD. Honest writing, full of character and voice. Will attract the people they want and repel those they don't. Even the URL is thoughtful. It's not scalable to do this for every job when hiring many people, but isn't that exactly the point? sudowrite.com/jobs/designer

I'm a tourist to the AI world... but I think this is right? Or, at least, if you explicitly asked Claude about this, it would happen. Must have been a crazy design decision meeting choosing a human name (in contrast to chatgpt or gemini, after the lessons of alexa and siri).

The windsurf/Google thing is likely more elegant than other recent Founder >$1B acquihire deals. Structured as a non-exclusive license creates less burden/shadow over windsurf. It's smart. If Goog owned 49% of windsurf, they could never do major deals with any Goog competitor.
