Don't fall for this false choice: You can absolutely care about due process violations for those who have had withholding of removal granted to them yet are rotting in CECOT *and* the victims of brutal violent criminals. Caring about justice means caring about both.

Exactly. There is a quantum difference between normal deportations (they're not hard -- 352,000 people were deported per year over the last four fiscal years) and imposing indefinite detention with no conviction in a prison that would violate the 8th Amendment in America.

This is huge. It's a sign political pressure worked. But more has to be done.

The American public understands the difference between being deported and being sent to a foreign prison. Right now, a mass murderer in a maximum security American prison has more rights than the people being sent to CECOT for a lifetime sentence.
