While most of Metro ATL is included in this watch, the greatest threat will set up south and east of I-85. Scattered damaging winds and large hail will be possible, as well as a low chance of a tornado or two. #gawx

Storms remain unorganized as they head into ATL. Heavy rain and some lightning will be possible over the next hour in ATL. As they move farther south and east, they will pick up strength, with the potential for damaging winds and large hail. #gawx

First area of interest in the Atlantic basin of the season was just added off the SE coast. 10% chance of development in the next 7 days. Even if it develops, it will likely only be a rainmaker for the coastal areas of FL, GA, SC, and NC #flwx #gawx #scwx #ncwx

Our quiet weather pattern looks to end as we approach the weekend. Saturday will feature a severe risk across the Southern Plains/Deep South, and may extend into N GA depending on storm timing and strength. Pattern late week/weekend favors lines of storms with damaging wind #gawx

Chances for strong to severe storms will continue into the weekend proper, with a more expansive Slight Risk analyzed for Saturday. Redevelopment is possible along any boundaries left behind by Friday's activity, and a stronger complex of storms may move in from the west. #gawx
