Final County Top of the year Cheeks Hill, highest point in Staffordshire, 520m sitting on the border with Derbyshire. Not the best of weather, low cloud, rain & boggy underfoot, so a few 📷 & then back to the 🚗 to dry out! The Long Distance Walkers Association Jonny Muir

First walk of the year, 32 mile Wilmot Wander around the edge of Derby. As always, well organised with favourable weather & ground conditions made for some quick times, over 30 mins off last years time 😀 Derbyshire Scouts The Long Distance Walkers Association

First The Long Distance Walkers Association event of 2024 South Pennine 24. Amazing weather gave some great views, initially frozen ground, but once the ☀️warmed it up very boggy in parts. As always, a great day out & improved on last year's time so very happy!

50th pint of 🅾️➖️🩸in the bag, that's definitely more than an 💪 full! Thanks as always to all the team at Give Blood NHS 🩸🩹 in Nottingham, here's to the next 50!

First County top of 2024, Arbury Hill in Northamptonshire. Only 225m high but quite interesting with the vestiges of an Iron Age fort as the draining water feeding 3 rivers, Nene, Cherwell & Leam. No views due to weather but the sheep were entertaining! The Long Distance Walkers Association Jonny Muir

Took part in the Calderdale Hike 36 miles in the South Pennines. New route for 2024 taking in various types of terrain & weather ☀️🌬🌧. Heavy going under foot in parts but a steady pace got me round within the 13 hour time limit so happy with that! 😀 The Long Distance Walkers Association

Donation 51 of 🅾️➖️🩸in the bad. Thanks as always to the Give Blood NHS 🩸🩹 team, all done in less than an hour & a nice cup of 🫖 & 🍪 at the end.

Easy walk in the summer ☀️ to visit Wolds Top, Lincolnshire's county top at 168m. Located within the Lincolnshire Wolds designated conservation area with great views of the very impressive NATS radar installation, aka "the golf ball" ⛳️ The Long Distance Walkers Association Jonny Muir Alex Staniforth

A visit to Cleve Hill, the highest point in Gloucester at 330m. A nice stroll avoiding the 🏌♀️ & good views out to 🏴 Interesting fact if you travel due east the next highest point is the Ural mountains in 🇷🇺! The Long Distance Walkers Association Alex Staniforth Jonny Muir

A glorious day out to the Worcestershire Beacon 425m above sea level. Just a short walk from the carpark brings you to the summit & impressive views in all directions. It is a great location to spend a couple of hours & enjoy the ☀️ Alex Staniforth The Long Distance Walkers Association Jonny Muir

Followed a very steep incline through woods to Brown Clee Hill, at 540m the highest point in Shropshire. Only the 🐏 for company on top. It's interesting that the plate of a trig was in the steps to the summit. I've never seen that before. Alex Staniforth The Long Distance Walkers Association Jonny Muir

A 13 mill loop along the 🏴🏴 border to bag Chwarel y Fan at 680m & Black Mountain at 700m. Warm & sunny but with a nice breeze on top. Great views across the valley didn't see another person all day on the hill just the 🐴 & 🐏 Alex Staniforth Jonny Muir The Long Distance Walkers Association

As always, thanks to the team Give Blood NHS 🩸🩹 Nottingham. Donation 52 of 🅾️➖️🩸safely in the bag!

Really good day out on the The Long Distance Walkers Association 26 mile Goyt Valley Challange. The mist soon burned off to reveal clear blue sky & ☀️. Great checkpoints, the largest footpath signs I've ever seen & a nice 🥧 at the end. Couldn't want for a better day!

After spending late Nov & most of Dec sick, was good to get some miles in with 27thDerbyScouts Derbyshire Scouts Wilmot Wander. Slightly longer at 53km due to some footpath closures with heavy ground & 🌧. Chance to try some new kit & practice for some up coming The Long Distance Walkers Association events 🥾

Spring-like conditions for my 1st The Long Distance Walkers Association event of the year, South Pennine 24. Good to be out & enjoy the views, as always a well organised event.

Clear blue skies & great views for the 36 mile Calderdale Hike in the South Pennines. The resent dry weather made for perfect conditions under foot, good to get some more miles & elevation in & try out some new kit. The Long Distance Walkers Association

Another 4 🏴 County Tops ✅️, Boring Field (Huntingdonshire) 80M & lowest of all, Great Chiswell (Cambridgeshire) 146M, Chris Hall Common (Essex) 147M & Great Wood (Suffolk) 128M. 🥾🗺⛰️ The Long Distance Walkers Association Jonny Muir

Really enjoyable weekend talking part in my 1st The Long Distance Walkers Association 100 in Suffolk. Both physically & mentally challenging with lots of lessons learned kit wise & a real sense of achievement to complete. Thanks to all involved in organising & running the amazing CP's along the way!
