Interessante uitwisseling tss Noah Smith 🐇🇺🇸🇺🇦 en Matthew Yglesias, om 3 redenen:
1. Om de inhoud
2. Het feit dat Amerikaanse ook macro-economen goed geïnformeerd en geïnteresseerd zijn in defensie (imo terecht!)
3. Een vb van hoe je ruiterlijk je fout kan toegeven

De vraag is natuurlijk: welk perspectief?
Hoe ziet deze grafiek eruit zonder de VS? Of voor de EU?
Willen we naar 1/1? En dan compenseren met veel goedkoop kanonnenvoer muit lagere sociale klassen, zoals in Rusland?
Willen we goedkopere en minder precieze wapens? Etc

I know it's anecdotal but two friends of mine who worked for a while in the US in 2 completely different environments (military and academic) confirmed that Americans work inefficient long hours because they are expected to show their commitment by just being present.

How EU managed to save itself from Russia’s Energy blackmail (Demand Destruction, Energy Efficiency and US LNG). We can breathe a bit better but need to stay vigilant.

#DanielKahneman is overleden. Jaren geleden hadden we in #InterneKeuken een gesprek over zijn boek “Ons feilbare denken”. Dat kan je samenvatten als “wie denkt, maakt fouten”.
Het was Wouter Duyck die ons toen wees op het belang van Kahneman en zijn ideeën.

If you want to close existing nuclear before you have phased out fossil fuels, you are not serious about reducing global warming in my opinion.

So I would not classify these parties as environmental groups but as anti-nuclear groups.
