Journalists & representatives of media freedom community came together to commemorate Dahpne‘s work. She has become the symbol of investigative journalists who are targeted as a result of their work. We hope that the on-going trial will bring a much needed conclusion to the case.

#Germany: We stand in solidarity with the journalist Kili Weber who was again intimidated in #Saxony. Since January 2024, Media Freedom Rapid Response (MFRR) has documented five incidents involving the journalist, including assaults and verbal abuse at demonstrations. mapmf.org/alert/32227

Remember "SLAPPs"? 📑 At #GMF24 in June, European Centre for Press and Media Freedom Senior Legal Advisor Flutura Kusari and media lawyer Gillian Phillips presented effective strategies to counter #SLAPPs (strategic lawsuit against public participation) that target journalists and restrict #mediafreedom.
