Really excited to share my PhD work. Check it out 👇Huge thanks to @mrmikerobson1, Stefan Mundlos @Patrica_Rothe_ and all amazing co-authors.

Why gene dosage is reduced at imprinted genes? What are the phenotypic consequences of gain, loss & parental inversion of an imprinted gene’s expression on postnatal physiology? Find out the answers in the updated version of our manuscript eLife - the journal! elifesciences.org/articles/65641

So excited to see our work published in PNAS, congratulations to Katerina Kraft and Katie Yost! And a huge thanks to everyone involved!

Blanka Majchrzycka, from Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics (Max Planck Society), was the third researcher to talk and introduce us to her work: "Investigating Enhancer - Promoter Compatibility with 'High'-Throughput Genome Engineering"🔬 #epiconference

Amazing day MPI for Molecular Genetics in Berlin! Science was just overwhelming 😵💫. What a special place. Thanks so much for the invite Daniel Lee and Juliane Glaser

WARNING Sequence alignment based methods miss most evolutionary conserved enhancers! A fantastic effort led by @mphan232 describes a new strategy and finds 1000s of #conserved #enhancers in distantly related genomes capitalizing on #IPP by Tobias Zehnder 👇 biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…

How do embryos and ESCs safeguard pluripotency throughout a state of dormancy? A great collaborative effort of the Aydan Bulut-Karslioglu -lab & the MPI for Molecular Genetics involving Helene Kretzmer Abhishek Sampath Kumar Tugce Aktas Vera van der Weijden & many more. nature.com/articles/s4159…

Human TFs face a molecular trade-off between activity and specificity encoded as submaximal dispersion of aromatic residues in their disordered regions. A collaborative effort of Denes Hnisz, VingronLab and Graf Lab published today in Nature Cell Biology nature.com/articles/s4155…

I'm excited to share this collaborative work with Katerina Kraft and Matt Jones that started as an exploration of the nuclear organization of ecDNA in colon cancer cells and ended with some neat findings on repetitive elements. See thread for more!

It was an amazing collaboration on so many levels! already second paper with Dr. Sedona Murphy and first with Matt Jones , but not the last one. Thank you for working with me, you are awesome scientists! Howard Chang Lab new preprint: See the thread below ⬇️

🚨Preprint alert🚨 Excited to share the #preprint version of our work MundlosLab ! Curious about how a transposable element (TE) insertion can cause developmental phenotypes? 🧬🦠🐁 Check the 🧵 below and the full version on BiorXiv: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Congratulations to our IMPRS-BAC PhD student Anja Hess who was honored with the AAALAC International Global 3Rs Award for her work “Single-cell transcriptomics stratifies organoid models of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease”! Read more here: aaalac.org/awards/global-…
