I think I'm too old for these (thank goodness) but I hear they exist. Textationships. Relationships that don't get past texting. Minimal investment & easy way out. The risk however, is that friendships & marriages aren't immune & can be reduced to it too. Gotta put in the work.

Each morning I remind my son to dress for the weather (especially when -10°). And every day I find another coat/hat/umbrella left behind. I smile bc a) he’s me reincarnated 2) I can pick my battles & 3) soon I’ll have a full wardrobe in my back seat & we can take a road trip.

I just experienced the greatest payoff of using twitter to practice my "less is more" communication skills. I was answering questions in a text box limited to <300 characters on a referral form for a medical specialist I'm hoping my 13 yr old son can get in to. Fingers crossed.
