I dislike the “European mind can’t understand” tweets. One frequent version is about Europe’s lack of innovation compared to the U.S. Well, according to the Economist, attached bottle caps may not be the only European innovation. Switzerland, Sweden & Britain are #s 1, 2 & 5.

We, Robot was cool and these vehicles and robots will materially change and improve our futures. Just one quibble. Are those cybercab doors really the best solution? The way they move up and OUT seems really inconvenient. Up and over or down and under the vehicle would be 👍.

Is there such a thing as Goldilocks dementia? Just enough to be deemed unqualified for the presidency, but not so much you won’t know you are in prison? Asking for the majority of Americans.

Why doesn’t the Democrats in Pennsylvania organize for all to sign the note to Musk in order to get the $100 and then domare it to the Harris campaign? Sounds like a good strategi to me.

I generally support giving felons a second chance and job opportunities. This November 5th, I find it safer not to be quite that permissive.

How I reconcile my admiration of Elon Musk’s business acumen & care about humanity with his joining someone as hideous of a human being as Trump. If we must have Trump (& his nutty entourage ), then I’m grateful that Elon Musk stays close to them. Elon has both mind and heart.

Bullies will bully. Now that MAGA got their guy elected I see less of their derision of immigrants, democrats, trans people and others in the U.S. Instead they rant about Europe being a backwater, never creating anything, being dangerous, etc. Bullying is like their oxygen.

How about egg prices at $6.70 per 30 eggs or about $0.22 each? I just saw this in a store here in Spain and was reminded of the discussion about egg prices in the U.S. I remember that egg prices in the U.S. are about 3x higher. When will DOGE address that? ;-)

Who is Tesla’s Tim Cook? The more I see of Elon’s antics and spreading of misinformation, the more I fear he will soon need to be replaced as CEO of Tesla. I’d rather see a sane Elon at the helm, but that seems less and less likely. And, no, Harry Bölz, is not a substitute!

The Trump Congress just proposed $4.5tn in tax cuts and $2tn in spending reductions. Another 2.5tn hole. Now we know that Elon lies when saying he cares about deficit spending and debt. DOGE is just a tool to cut spending they don’t agree with - fiscal responsibility be damned.

Sitting at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam after a flight from the U.S. Lines for U.S. passport holders is longer than I have ever seen (I fly through here every other month). I asked staff and it is clear that the delays and lines are retaliation for the U.S. tariff shenanigans.

Travel hack: Bring more things on your flight without checking luggage by bringing extra stuff in a bag and then moving it to a large bag from a shop at the airport. You are allowed a bag with stuff from the airport and nobody will check the contents.

Some Tesla Superchargers are better than others. At this one at Toftaholm in Sweden, you can see a late Viking (10th century) rune stone, eat in a mansion with a 600 year history and enjoy water sports, all while your car is charging. A pre-Viking age sword was found in the lake.
