I’m excited for this new OneJax series! We’ll ear from panelists AND practice engaging in the conversation topics during small group discussion. To make this truly impactful, we need broad perspectives and diversity—I hope you’ll tell your friends & networks & plan to join us!

🕯️ 🕊️ As we pause in remembrance today, may we leave space for the Other - be willing to engage with empathy, openness, & understanding for our neighbors, & strengthen our commitment to recognizing the humanity & dignity of one another. #October7 #OneJax

It was a beautiful day to walk with NAMIJacksonville! Thanks to all who stopped by for blessing and meditation at the #OneJax Peace Tent. If you are someone you know is struggling with mental illness, get help and know you are #NotAlone

I believe we can rise above partisanship and model the kind of respectful engagement we want our children to inherit. I will continue to work every day to create that kind of community. I remain committed to serving Jacksonville with compassion, honesty, and resolve.

Regardless of politics, I am committed to building bridges of understanding & fostering mutual respect. When we allow hateful rhetoric to take the place of honest dialogue, when we reward bullying over merit, we chip away at the very fabric of a healthy democracy. Let’s do better

Council meeting next Tue 5p Whether I am confirmed or not, we must keep speaking out against misinformation, bullying, & intimidation. We may not be able to stop bad people from doing bad things, but we can’t let bad people stop us from doing good things! docs.google.com/forms/d/1QmUoT…

While I'm disappointed by the City Council's decision… I will continue to lead and serve with integrity, focused on building a more respectful, united Jacksonville because our community deserves better than division.

War does not solve problems; on the contrary, it amplifies them and inflicts deep wounds on the history of peoples, which take generations to heal. No armed victory can compensate for the pain of mothers, the fear of children, or stolen futures. May diplomacy silence the weapons!
