Anyone else have a crazy day? We have 8 school days left. Tried structured time/engaging lessons. (Fail) Tried fun/less demanding lessons. (Fail) Put a movie on. (Fail) Read a book to them. (Fail) Added incentives THEY voted on. (Fail) They just want to talk & act wild! 🤪

Sometimes you just need a "do-over". Put desks back in rows. (They were in pods) Structured class time today with earned free time = a much better day. Hope you all had an amazing Friday! Only 7 more school days....1 Monday and 1 Friday left!!! 🥳

If you are seriously pulling your hair out with your Ss right now (I think we all are), today I found a fun activity that they loved! They created their own Utopian Community using Minecraft. Then had to write a description including rules, jobs, name, etc. No behavior issues!

Today is the last day for 80% of my students. Tomorrow we have an incentive day for students that met specific criteria. It's a bittersweet moment. I'm really going to miss them but I am excited to start summer break. lol

Today was so hard 😭 I said goodbye to most of my Ss. I've always had a calling to teach the toughest. But, when they break down sobbing in my arms, it breaks my heart. No amount of experience or education can prepare you for that. 💔
