Runup reached the dune toe earlier on Masonboro...and some roadway flooding at our Sunny Day Flooding Project sensors across the state (Carolina Beach, Beaufort, Down East so far...). You can check out images from flood sensors at go.ncsu.edu/sunny

Incredible reporting by WaPo on flooding from sea-level rise in Carolina Beach. Tides, wind, and rain atop higher seas are flooding low-lying communities, and it’s happening more than we know.
