Wondering how you can support Vocalo right now to save our station? We're collecting letters from ya'll imploring the board to reverse this deplorable decision to shut down our beloved and necessary cultural institution. DM me for more details! #SAVEVOCALO
I’m sad Chicago Public Media decided to end @vocalo. A station that supports local independent artists and journalist of color. Vocalo was my way into public radio
I’m so grateful to every single Vocalo staffer and former staffers for gifting us such a cool station #SaveVocalo

We are losing many incredible colleagues at WBEZ & our sister station Vocalo. H/t to Patrick Smith for starting a GoFundMe to help. Please contribute if you can, and spread the word: tinyurl.com/58xbmaaw
So today I learned that Vocalo Radio 91.1 will cease radio broadcast on May 1st. I was there before it had a name. 17 years. Ayana Contreras was my gift to the city. #vocalo (which I ran for years) was my love letter. A cheerleader for our rich arts music + culture. I hope you all felt it.
In the same email WBEZ leadership says we need to 'participate in our diverse communities,' they cut so many of the people on our staff who do just that. Vocalo Radio 91.1 We Make WBEZ + Vocalo
