Matured as an athlete and a human under Colin and I owe a lot of my success to him. The world has lost an incredible man and friend.

Absolutely heartbroken by this. Colin was the nicest man going and wanted nothing but success for every single one of us. Taking peace in knowing some of his best memories will have been at an athletics track. We’ll make you proud coach.

Absolutely devastated - Tenacious and kind, Colin has always been there to offer friendship and guidance. He possessed that remarkable quality that all great Scottish multi, field and sprint coaches have, no matter the hurdle he simply found a solution. I'll miss you dearly pal.

One of the most kind and sincere men I've ever met. He's been part of my life ever since I started athletics 20 years ago. Always encouraging and genuinely cared not only how you were as a person but as an athlete too. You'll be missed old pal.
