At a glance I am pleased with #Budget2024, but disappointed there is no mention of #domesticabuse services. Yes, this often ends up being down to local council allocation, but we have a crisis and local councils are broke. We need ring fenced funds.

I get it. I agree with protesting. I trained as an actor precisely because I believe that theatre should be used as a tool for social change. But using the death of babies to purposely trigger people into changing their behaviour towards an industry... 2/?

Nah. I'm done. There's a line. Baby humans are not comparable to baby cows. I think we should all be vegetarian. I think we have a (God-given) responsibility to care for other sentient beings and our planet, but this comparison is (purposely) unethical. 3/?

I don't know who the theatre company are. I got too angry to catch their name. The man was nice. The woman was not. (There's a whole piece there about gender essentialism by assuming a woman would be sympathetic about baby loss). 4/?

I'm sure someone much more knowledgeable and articulate than me has written about the ethics of protesting etc. unruly politics etc etc. I I get it. But I don't think parading 'dead babies' around in public is the way to make your point. #nationaltheatre 5/5
