During Day 2 of the 2024 STaR Institute (amte.net/star), the cohort provided feedback to others’ manuscripts, formed teaching interest groups, and engaged in fireside chats on topics like grants, promotion/tenure, collaborations, and balancing teaching/research/service.

💫 For Day 3 of the 2024 STaR Institute (amte.net/star), the fellows had a workshop on teaching, formed research interest groups, and continued work on manuscript review groups and fireside chats 💫 The social committee also shared possible activities for free time!

💫 Day 4 of the STaR Institute (amte.net/star) started with picture day! The cohort had a featured presentation focusing on research, followed by meetings with their research interest groups In the afternoon, STaR fellows explored Park City and the surrounding area ⛰️

This year AMTE hosts cohort 15 of the annual STaR program for early career mathematics education faculty. We have another great group that I’m sure will make many contributions to mathematics teacher education. It is a privilege to be here this week working with them.
