As a mom with three children I valued maternity leave so I could stay home with my baby. I did not need a policy that would let me work while collecting EI. What I needed was accessible $10/day child care so when my leave was over I could have gone into my career.

Enhanced COVID-19 cleaning was eliminated in the return to school plans for 2021-22 unless a school is moved to a higher risk level.  Public Health officials should spend some time in schools to see the reality on the ground.
