We are looking forward to National Careers Week at Amotherby. We will be welcoming parents and visitors into school to introduce our children to a range of different careers. #aspire

Thank you to all the parents and to Malton Fire Station who so generously gave up their time to come and talk to our children about their careers. There was a lovely buzz around school! Thanks also to Miss Douthwaite for organising such a great week.

What a busy week! Reception, Y1 and Y2 have had a fantastic trip to Flamingo Land, our Year 5 pupils did brilliantly in the netball tournament at Malton Sports Centre and tomorrow Year 6 have the pleasure of meeting Rob Lloyd Jones, author of Wild Boy! Rob Lloyd Jones

Well done to all the parents who took part in our Year 6 pupils v parents rounders match today. It was a close game with the Year 6 team winning 9 rounders to 8.5.

A great day of training so we are ready for our very first Young Voices concert with our Year 5 and 6 pupils. Lots of ideas which will benefit all our children and we can't wait to sing this alongside the guest singer, Heather Small!

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils created reading butterflies for Kemp's Bookstore in Malton for their World Book Day display. The butterflies are up and looking wonderful so pop along to see them if you're in town.

Cross-class science experiments for Science Week, a non-uniform day for Comic Relief and the finals of Amotherby's Got Talent to end the day. What a wonderful Friday! Well done to all those who took part in our talent show. You certainly are a talented bunch!
