When your GPS says ‘recalculating route’ and you both realize it’s not just the humans who get lost in the moment! That was soooo close! A rather speedy male Black-and-White Casqued Hornbill almost knocked down this Little Egret! Thank goodness the Egret had his landing gear

Beauty isn't everything-especially when you can dig like a pro, can feed on your knees, and sport a pair of impressive tusks! No.? Shot from one of my favorite parks in planet Earth, Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda 🇺🇬. #fieldguide #wildlifephotography #natureenthusiast

It’s not every day you get to photograph a mother zebra and her foal in a sea of stripes. Another shot from one of my favorite national parks, Lake Mburo National Park. #motherslove #wildlifephotography #biologist #zebra #nature #naturephotography #wanderlust #bushots

When someone said “Kingfishers” these Pied Kingfishers (𝘊𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘭𝘦 𝘳𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘴) particularly took it personal! Not a single moment spent observing and photographing them has been devoid of success; they always manage to make a catch! 📍: Kazinga Channel, Kazinga National

Only if we could understand the language these birds spoke! A rather curious breeding male of a Northern Brown-throated Weaver (𝘗𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘱𝘴) photographed from the waterside Papyrus (𝘊𝘺𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘶𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘺𝘳𝘶𝘴) of Lake Nalubaale (Victoria)!

One of the birds that you would rather walk from Cape Town to Alexandria on foot than photographing them - the male White-spotted Flufftail (𝘚𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘶𝘳𝘢 𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘤𝘩𝘳𝘢). They’re super vocal but extremely shy and elusive. Only those expressly looking for him will find

There's a time when the Masai's were being evicted from their Ancestral land to pave way for some UAE firm vested in carbon trade. Literally in Uganda, no one talks about the Batwa that were evicted from Bwindi Impenetrable Rainforest yet they co-existed with these apes.
