From the very first issue of Finance and Society, the journal provided a platform for key themes in the field. Bob Jessop's article, from Issue 1.1, explores the idea of money as "a complex and contradictory ensemble of social relations": cup.org/3V54CXj #TenYearsOfFinSoc

Very much looking forward to this year’s conference in Sheffield. The programme is all killer no filler and it’s been great to work with Daniel Tischer and Adam Leaver on this. Hope to see you there!

On the train to Manchester and then off to Copenhagen tomorrow morning. This year's Finance and Society Network conference in sunny Sheffield was magnificent. Great presentations, even better company. And we'll do it all again next year in Copenhagen (Copenhagen Business School) it seems!

This year’s Finance and Society Finance and Society Network conference has come to a close and it really was a breath of fresh air. Fascinating keynotes, insightful panels, interesting ideas and I got to test-drive my work on VCs in military AI. #FSN2024

The new issue of Finance and Society has just been published. Includes some great pieces on everything from financial existentialism and deep archival work on state finance to the speculative frontiers of (post-)capitalism. Check it out!
