We weren’t going to watch the #CorrieNash but the 9yo learned all about it at school and wanted to watch. So here we are, being oh so British, providing our own mocking commentary as we watch, having the BEST time.

Errrr my Netflix appears confused……

Didn’t intend to watch the Queen Charlotte Bridgeton series, but I was ill and assumed it would be easy viewing. Still lots of sex, gorgeous costumes, etc, etc but I was actually really moved by parts of it and definitely cried in the final scene with mature Charlotte & George.

Ikea’s celebration of being the second-best place in a household, has to be one of the most original insights I’ve seen executed in years.

My 2yo has discovered Daniel the Tiger. Genuinely the worst children’s programme I’ve ever heard. All the voices are heinous and the singing is off key and out of tune. I did a double take when I saw it was on CBeebies Parenting! What is this madness?! Not the usual standard at all.

Been on holiday with the kids and my mom (who’s a teacher) for a few days and now, while playing with his shapes box toy thing, my two (nearly three year old is shouting in dismay “We’re missing the cylinder!!” Might cancel preschool for September and just pay my mom instead.

Just unlocked my phone and saw ‘X’. Genuinely thought somehow a hacker had downloaded a new app onto my home screen 😳 Cue frantic Googling 🤦🏻‍♀️

My 9yo is really getting into her music. Current favs are Ellie Goulding, Anne Marie & Anastasia (thanks Just Dance!) We’ve turned off explicit lyrics, but find the subject matters in some artists songs are a bit grown up yet. Any rec’s for other ‘safe’ artists she could try?

Just finished #TheDetectorists (including the feature length Xmas Special) and we are bereft. What will we do without it!? 😩 It’s been the most peaceful yet tense (the magpies dammit, the magpies!!), heart warming, joyous thing we’ve watched on TV possibly ever.

We’ve gone cold Turkey on the snacks with the toddler. Wish us luck.
