Today I met w/ President Macron, Prime Minister Meloni, Chancellor Scholz, European Council President Charles Michel, HR/VP Borrell, and SR Lajcak. I thanked each of them for their efforts. 🇽🇰 has adopted the Basic Agrmt and its Annex, which is a feat for Kosova and the EU.

Despite my offer, Serbia refused to sign both the agreement & Oct 21 draft. To the contrary, it demanded a side letter that would nullify 3 principles of the Basic Agrmt, Annex & the Oct 21 proposal. Acceptance means signing, and signing guarantees acceptance & implementation.

Serbia once again rejected an attempt to normalize relations with the Republic of Kosova. We urge the European Union to sanction Serbia for the act of aggression against Kosova on September 24th 2023. Any delay will only serve to fuel further escalation.

Violence against women is a human rights violation & a cruel weapon used to subordinate women. The burden to fight it should not fall solely on women, who face retaliation for speaking out for themselves and others, but on society as a whole, including governments.

Kosova has reached the promised 2% of GDP allocated to our defense. Among the 30 NATO members (excluding Finland, which joined this year), only 7 meet the spending target set by the organization. This commitment is crucial for our country's security and that of the entire Europe.

Great news from Paris! Kosova successfully passes the vote in the Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, with 31 in favor & 4 against! We remain committed to working with our friends & partners to ensure that every citizen gains rightful access to Council of Europe.

The 75th anniversary of NATO stands as testament of solidarity and strength of shared values. In Kosova, NATO's intervention is remembered for halting genocide. As we celebrate this anniversary, we renew our commitment to deepen cooperation and join the alliance.
