It was a pleasure to pay a visit to former First Minister 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and friend Humza Yousaf at the Scottish Parliament. We discussed the recent UK support for Morocco’s Autonomy Plan and the situation in the Middle East.

The visit to Scotland continued in Edinburgh with a productive roundtable, bringing together academia and industry to explore energy cooperation. Morocco’s bold plans in solar, wind, hydrogen, and interconnectivity open vast opportunities for partnership.

The visit concluded with insightful conversations at James Hutton Institute, where we explored cutting-edge research in agriculture and climate resilience. We then visited Forth Valley College to discuss cross-sector training programmes, particularly in hospitality and healthcare.

The Autonomy Plan gives Western Sahara a high degree of autonomy and encourages shared prosperity. This plan could alleviate human suffering. That is the unshakable bedrock of UK foreign policy under this government. My piece for Politics.co.uk 👇 politics.co.uk/mp-comment/202…
