We really need YOUR views if you are a survivor of burns or a professional caring for burn patients anywhere in the world!!! Please help us to make the difference in burn care by doing the right research as agreed by patients and clinicians. The survey takes less than 5 mins 😊😊

These results are great but we really NEED to hear the voices of clinicians and especially burn survivors from Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. We want to be inclusive and not leave out voices that should be heard. If you can help, please let us know. Thank you.

So much amazing research being presented at #bba2022 British Burns Association conference in Bristol today. So many important questions in #burnscare still need answering.

Have you completed the Priorities in Global Burns Research survey?! Do your part to help improve burns research and make sure the most important questions are answered ‼️ #BeBurnsAware 👇

Do you have work colleagues in burn care or know patients that speak Hindi. We would very much like to hear their views on what clinical questions in burn care they want answers to - from injury to rehabilitation. Thank you.

This is important to this project. We are very much looking forward to those speaking Bengali who have survived a burn injury and those who care for patients with burns letting us know which unanswered questions in burn care are important. Thank you friends and colleagues.

We really need your help to tell us what answers are needed in burn care. Please let us know and be a part of this research to make outcomes better for burn survivors.

We would be very happy to write or zoom with any contacts you gave in the Middle East if they were interested to help in any way with distributing our survey. We really want to hear their views. Thank you [email protected]

If there is any way you could point us in the direction of survivors of burns or their carers to let us know what are important issues in burn care that need research, we would be happy to write to them. We appreciate how busy you are though. Thank you so much. Amber

Please let us know what you think scarce resources for burn research should be spent on. Your voice and your thoughts will make the difference to the future of global burns research.

Amber Young (@amberheckingto1) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This is important. Patients need to understand about new surgical procedures. They can only do this through information given.

Amber Young (@amberheckingto1) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We really want to make this project meaningful. It is to agree the top ten research priorities in burn care globally. Your views will entirely make the difference. We would love thoughts from all disciplines involved in burn care and especially burn survivors. Thank you.

Are you a burns survivor or a carer or healthcare professional involved in burns care and treatment? James Lind Alliance are looking for the Top 10 research questions that needs answering. Complete the survey: burnsresearch.bristol.ac.uk/survey1/ Priorities in Global Burns Research

We are missing thoughts for burn research questions on the survey from East Europe and central Africa. We very much want the survey to be meaningful. Any thoughts at all for collaborators from these countries? The support we have had globally had been truly amazing. Thank you 😊.

Such a great demo of how to ask the right research questions properly - this work will shape the future of global burns research.

Amber Young (@amberheckingto1) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We so want this research prioritisation study to be meaningful. This will happen if we get responses from patients, carers and burn clinicians. We also want responses from lower income countries - where most of the world’s burns occur. Thank you for being a part of our team. 😊

There is (very) limited money to be spent on quality burn research. We have a moral duty to ourselves (patients and clinicians ) to make sure that it is spent wisely. Please let us know what you think - so that we can make the right decisions. Priorities in Global Burns Research

Alice is a high-flying plastic surgery trainee. The SFF set her on the pathway to what I absolutely know will be a career in academic and clinical plastic surgery that improves patient outcomes and improves research for international plastic surgery. The SFF helped start this.
