The war in #Gaza must end now.

With #Gaza plagued by famine and destruction, and the prospect of a Palestinian State under greater threat than ever, #France and Saudi Arabia will bring the international community together at the United Nations on Monday to save the two-state solution.

Consistent with its historic commitment to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East, I have decided that France will recognize the State of Palestine. I will make this solemn announcement before the United Nations General Assembly this coming September.

Hamas has always rejected the two-state solution. By recognizing #Palestine, #France is disagreeing with that terrorist movement. It is agreeing with those on the side of peace as opposed to those on the side of war.

Congratulations to the Lionesses on their victory at the #WEURO2025!

Hamas must be disarmed and permanently excluded from all governance of #Gaza and #Palestine. The Palestinian Authority must be profoundly reformed. The Arab countries must normalize their relations with Israel.

After months of work under the aegis of France and Saudi Arabia, the whole international community has gathered in New York. Fifteen States, the Arab League and the European Union are putting forward concrete proposals to bring about the two-state solution.
