“The community project remains to this day one of my proudest moments” Thank you Amy for sharing your experience of the Mark Scott Award, everything you have gone through and your many achievements since. Showing our current graduates the positive impact they too could have!
Thank you to Selina for sharing your Refuweegee 🧡 journey and your motivation for setting up this awesome charity with the Mark Scott Award graduates tonight! #peoplemakeglasgow #wereallfaesomewhere
As schools head back after the summer, this week I’ve been focused on meeting the Mark Scott Award participants for the year ahead. Can’t wait to get started with these new teams over the next few weeks! Got a nice after work climb in yesterday too:
Our first groups of 2024-25 heading away for their Mark Scott Award residential on Monday. But what's it all about? Full details can be found on the website: outwardbound.org.uk/the-mark-scott…
Last year over 140 young people took part in the Mark Scott Award. Projects they delivered reached hundreds of people, and each made a positive impact in their local area. We're looking forward to another year of delivery, and can't wait to see what our groups this year can achieve!
We're not in the business of handing out certificates for the sake of it. We believe in something deeper. Something real. That’s why we’re excited to share that our Mark Scott Award participants now get #SCQF credit! 🎉 bit.ly/4e8i3hd Mark Scott Award #SCQFWeek
Welcome to Loch Eil! Our teams this week join a community of over 150 young people this year & more than 3,500 participants over 26 years taking part in the Mark Scott Award. We can’t wait to see how these teams get on
I had the incredible opportunity last week to meet Sir Chris Bonington. It was very cool to chat about climbing in Glencoe & hiking Crib Goch over dinner with him! Steve Mackenzie & I were in London for the Outward Bound WOW awards where he was presenting.
Community Event, free to attend: Participants of the Mark Scott Award have organised a series of community socials over the next few weeks. Come along to Sacred Heart, Cumbernauld for a blether & some activities. NorthLanCouncil North Lanarkshire Council Inclusion Team NLCFamilyLearning MyCumbernauld
Pupils from Cumbernauld Academy, Greenfaulds HS & OLHS Cumbernauld have organised a series of community events. They would like to invite along anyone that could use a little company, or just fancies something a little different in their day. The event is free, just drop in!
Community social day! Our group will be hosting a social day with board games, quizzes & crafts until 3pm at Sacred Heart Cnauld today. Drop in for a cuppa and some entertainment
On route to @CastlebraeCC for another recruitment presentation. If your school is involved with the Mark Scott Award our team have been in touch to talk to your current S5 about this opportunity for them in sixth year:
