Today's the day for fledging the next generation. Watching the white-tailed eagle #Classof2022 take to the skies is, for me, the best feeling in the world. These twins will have many challenges ahead, not least Avian Influenza. For now just enjoying this. Eagle on a fence post 😆

Fridays plan was to kayak round loch Etive. Unfortunately when we arrived there was just to much ice to launch the kayaks,😩 Nevertheless it was a stunning scene! Beautiful blue sky with snow capped mountains and the shore adorned with glistening ice, a frozen paradise!😍

What a moment! A #WhiteTailedEagle is born in England – the 1st for over 240 years! It hatched earlier this summer & has now fledged. It's the first breeding success of the birds released by Forestry England & Roy Dennis Foundation in a landmark project to return this iconic species.

Last week crews from across Lochaber tackled a large grassfire at GlenUig Amanda took this amazing timelapse showing how the fire developed. Crews worked hard through the night to successfully protect the properties in the vicinity of the fire 🚒
