Had the most amazing afternoon hearing about the various projects being funded by Midlands Innovation today at Aston University while presenting some of the work we are doing Centre for Migration and Forced Displacement. Thank you to everyone involved. It was inspirational.

Thank you Birmingham Lit Fest for the invitation to chair this amazing panel. Truly humbling to be able to listen And learn from authors telling the stories of everyday life unfolding during violent conflict and war.

Amazing conclusion to our Cheltenham Festivals experience. Listening to (and meeting) Lenny Henry give advice on writing. 1. Wear pjs. 2. Eat (lots) of sweets (jammie dodgers). 3. Write. Lots. Followed by advice to reviewers. “Be Kind”. (My personal fav!) The boys had a blast!

#HowItStarted…and how it’s going. In 2018 we brought an 8 y/o Z to the CBSO xmas concert. A year later he was singing with the children’s chorus. It’s his final year and we couldn’t be more proud!

Huge thank you to all who came this evening for the launch of our Midlands Innovation funded #RefugeeHousing report co-authored by Centre for Migration and Forced Displacement & ACH 🧡 colleagues. It was a gift to share space & discuss diverse housing journeys within & beyond Birmingham.

#HowItStarted and #HowItsGoing. Our final CBSO Christmas Concert with a Bishop boy singing with the #Children’sChorus. We took JB back in 2018 & he waited patiently for Covid to end & be old enough to embark on this fantastic musical journey. ♥️ 🎄 🎵
