Here’s a first look at #NJDevils lines and pairings for Group 1… keeping in mind they’re split into teams during the early stages of training camp 😅

It's just Day 1 but Simon Nemec looks like he's flying out there. His foot speed has clearly upped a notch. #NJDevils

Jack attack is back.

Fascinating to see Gritsyuk get a first look here with #NJDevils. He’s had the puck on his stick quite a bit and is showing off his craftiness and shiftiness. Biggest thing will be adjusting to the ice and how much time he has - or doesn’t have - to get his shot off.

Watching Simon Nemec during these box-out drills, the strength looks to be at a new level. Stronger, more agile. #NJDevils

Nemec says he “feels way better” now than this time last year. Said he upped his program in the &started skating earlier this year than last. Felt he had nothing to lose in the playoffs, so just went out “and had fun”, and happened to play his best hockey. Good lesson there.

Jesper Bratt on his shoulder: “I’m 100 percent. Good to go.” He had a procedure done after the season, healed well and ready. #NJDevils

Jack Hughes says he’s healthy, feeling good and excited to be back on the ice. Says it’s always good to take a mental break during the summer, but there’s a point in time where you really start to miss the game and get excited to be back. #NJDevils

#NJDevils notes in brief: Markstrom missing today's skate for family/personal reasons. Noesen is out with a groin injury and will miss some time. Kovacevic, who is still recovering from his knee surgery, remains out indefinitely. Full details:
