Our first session for the Leeds Trinity University Champions of Childhood Conference is underway, delivered by Dr Angela Wright and Dr Lucy Hatton from Wakefield Local Authority about the need for relationship based approaches in schools to support positive change and outcomes for all.


Our second speaker of the day at the Leeds Trinity University Champions of Childhood Conference is Carole Pugh from Raise York Evaluation. Carole is speaking about research informed practice and practice informed research.


We’ve just welcomed our next speaker Tracy Shaw to the Leeds Trinity University Champions of Childhood Conference. She is talking about the Care Leavers Service Custody Project.

The day has certainly gone very quickly as we welcome our last guest speakers of the Leeds Trinity University Champions of Childhood Conference. We have Amelia Wesley and Kate MacCowan from Leeds Speech and Language Therapy Team talking about meeting speech, language and communication needs


Another important session we had earlier for the Leeds Trinity University Champions of Childhood Conference was delivered by Joanne Holdsworth and Georgia Hyland from Behind Closed Doors about domestic abuse and the wider impact on the family

2025 marks the centenary of Virginia Woolf's novel Mrs Dalloway. To mark this, Leeds Trinity University has a call for poetry submissions inspired by Woolf's life, work and afterlives in stage, film and television presentations. The deadline is 30 April 2025. Find out more below
