So, MammothMountain just got out of the bottom 10, but what happens next? Here's a look at March - June snowfall during strong El Nino's. You'll notice 2 flavors.. either quite a bit more snow or not much at all. We're already above one year, so 50/50 of either!

After the 8 inches that fell MammothMountain where do we stand for catching up? Darn good! As you can see we're about to surpass the Miracle March comeback of 17-18 and we're closing in on the La Nada 200 in comebacks. We have a good chance of reaching 200 by month's end!

After the impressive storm that came through last night MammothMountain we are now truly in the upper echelons of comeback years. Only 1 year has surpassed this year's comeback and we have more snow coming this weekend! We have also exceeded our March average with 71 inches!

The latest storm has dropped 20 inches MammothMountain with more to come later this weekend. We are now officially in the upper category of March - June snowfall for Strong El Nino's. Only 10 more inches and we'll exceed the 2015-2016 season, which will put us over the average!

What a comeback for MammothMountain! With the latest round of storms we have officially surpassed the 230 inch comebacks of the La Nada years in the early 90's! This yes is the poster child for a comeback year and it's not over yet, with more snow in the forecast this week!

I was asked yesterday to make the Jan - Jun graph for snowfall MammothMountain following the worst Oct-Dec. Here we are! 303 inches for the season with only 1 season in the lead. If April and May deliver we're looking at a close race for number 1 comeback!

A truly April dumper of a storm MammothMountain! 19 inches at Main and counting! Take a look at where we stand for closing in on March - June for Strong El Nino! Closing in on the number 2 spot! Can we break into the number 2 spot this month? I believe!

After the 2 inches that fell MammothMountain, we are now tied for 2nd place for March - June of all Strong El Nino seasons! A truly impressive comeback for us given how poorly the season started. And, I do believe we take 2nd place properly after this weekend...

After the 10 inches that fell MammothMountain over the weekend, we are so close to calling this season the biggest comeback season ever! Not only are we in 2nd place but are only 1 of 2 seasons that breached the 300-inch mark. It's been a hell of a winter season!

After this latest storm MammothMountain, they now have the best November total in the last 14 years! We have to go back to the infamous snowy 2010-11 season to beat this November!

This morning I did a deep dive at opensnow.com/dailysnow/mamm… for a seasonal forecast. I spent quite some time pouring over the records to come up with this graphic. It outlines what we've seen in La Nada conditions, which I think is very possible this winter!

We finally have a real storm coming for the SoCal Ski areas! It's so cool to see the low pass right through SoCal, which is a real treat given the cold temps it will provide! If you want to get as excited as me, go read the Daily Snow on OpenSnow! opensnow.com/dailysnow/sout…

The Feb - June snowfall MammothMountain can be variable in La Nada yrs. The Warm PDO years are higher, while the Cold are lower. I've circled the years we are closest to at the end of January snowfall numbers. In theory, we should double our snowfall, but hopefully more!

This storm is packing a wallop! MammothMountain has already clocked in 16 inches as of the early morning report and it's been snowing non stop since. I hope everyone is ready and excited for a multi-foot measurement by tomorrow morning!

March - June MammothMountain snowfall during all La Nada seasons in the last 55+ years of records. You'll see that the averages are all similar but generally driven by really strong singular years. Warm PDO La Nada's perform better. I've circled the years we're most similar to.

Raise the storm flag! MammothMountain is finally under a Winter Storm Warning and I'm going to very nearly guarantee that we will get multiple feet of snow across all elevations of the mtn. by Saturday AM! Get ready for Winter to show us what it's got!
