Years 3/4 interviewed groups of children and members of staff about their favourite biscuits this week as part of their market research lesson. They then designed a biscuit that would suit their target audiences (and budget!). Bring on more baking! 🍪 #DesignTechnology

Class 3 loved NSPCC Number Day! They played Times Tables Rock Stars , calculated Fibonacci number sequences (linked to The Rabbit Problem story by emily gravett) and designed festivals using 2D shapes 🎸 John Taylor MAT

Class 3 children love their violin lessons and felt very inspired by their wonderful teacher today after hearing her playing pop music with her electric violin 🎻

Bread preparation happened in Class 4 this morning to finish off our DT project. After weeks of investigating bread types, flour and flavourings we prepared the bread we had planned 😊

The final products looked amazing and we hope families have enjoyed tasting them tonight ready for our evaluation of the project tomorrow 🍞🥖🥯

The children have had a fantastic world book day. They dressed up as adjectives and used art resources to create new settings. We had a visit from the illustrator Lisa Hand who shared her work with the children.

Class 3 have loved learning about HTML this half term. They have learnt how to inspect the HTML code of a web page to understand and alter it. Today, children “hacked” web pages by editing the HTML temporarily, demonstrating the importance of internet safety. 🖥️

Our children have been busy making decorations for the Easter tree in Church, ready for the Spring Festival at the weekend. All are welcome at the Spring Festival at All Saints Church, Rangemore. 12th and 13th April.

During our Easter-themed science enrichment day, children enjoyed using their science knowledge to investigate how quickly they could melt the ice to free the chicks 🧊🐥, planting seeds 🌱, catapulting eggs 🚀 and making lanterns using translucent materials 🕯️John Taylor MAT

Class 3 love to read for pleasure everyday but this week’s story time has been particularly nice as we made the most of the lovely weather and read outside, using our new outdoor cushions to get comfy 📖
