(Amanda) Betty had a bit of a shock this morning - she couldn't log in to Twitter. This made absolutely no sense to me but it made her upset. She phoned her son VeganDad and he helped her so it's all sorted now. Sometimes ancient humans need a bit of help. don't they?

(Amanda) I supervised Betty while she sowed some seeds. I think she knows how to do it but I wanted to make sure. Seeds are amazing. Some are big like these bean seeds and some are so tiny they look like dust. We have to wait now for them to grow. I'll let you know when.

(Amanda) Do you remember that I told you about the wind-chime that a kind follower sent to us for the Memorial Garden? Pip did this little video of it so you can hear the lovely sounds it makes. I love to visit the MG and think about sweet Barbs. I miss him so much.

(Amanda) I think I look a bit silly in this photo that Pip took but Betty loves it. She says it makes me look soft and cuddly. I suppose that's a good thing, isn't it?

(Amamda) Until Betty showed me this photo that Pip took I didn't know my whiskers were sprouting up in different places on my face. I've even got one near my eye - what's that about? Betty told me to stop over-thinking and I suppose she's right. I'm glad I haven't got a mirror.

(Amanda) I haven't done any selfies lately so I thought I would try again. I shouldn't have bothered. All I can recognise is my ear. Betty says I need to keep trying and one day I'll take a good one. I'm not so sure, I think she's just being kind.

(Amanda) I think I look quite good in this photo Pip took. Betty loves it, she says I look very relaxed and cuddly. I'm not so sure about that. Cuddly - maybe but not relaxed. My mind is working all the time, there are many things to think about. I need to switch off a bit.

(Amanda) I love the early mornings. As soon as I hear Colin's car I rush outside to see him. Of course, he always makes a fuss of me before we go into the veranda for breakfast. Betty says it's our 'routine' but I've never heard that word before. I suppose she's right, isn't she?

(Amanda) I've got my very own Nip plant! It's been growing in the Big Greenhouse but it's big enough to be in the veranda now. I had a good chew on some of the leaves. Betty said she didn't want me to get addicted to it. She should have thought of that before she gave it to me!

(Amanda) I had such a good time playing with Betty's shoelace! Actually, it wasn't a shoe, it was a 'trainer'. I think this is ridiculous because she is far too ancient to be training for anything.

(Amanda) Susie did a little film of me with my very own Nip plant. It's doing quite well, despite me chewing some of the leaves. Betty doesn't mind. she grew it especially for me so I can do what I want with it. I'm so lucky to have a personal Nip plant, aren't I?

(Janet) Oh my word...it's so hot! We had a tiny bit of rain recently, but not enough. Betty says that humans in the UK are well known for complaining about the weather and maybe us cats are too! I prefer it not too hot and just a little rain. How about you?

(Amanda) Betty laughed when she saw this photo that Colin took. She thinks that I was laughing too but as you know, cats don't do that sort of thing. Still, if it makes her happy I'll go along with it. There's no harm in that, is there?

(Amanda) Betty keeps telling me I've got beautiful eyes. I don't know why, they are nothing special. I'm glad I've got them of course, but they are just eyes. Sometimes ancient humans say weird things, don't they?

(Amanda) I can't believe how all the humans are talking about the weather! Some of them love how hot it is but others (like Betty) don't like it at all. I'm not really bothered by it. Sometimes I wish I didn't have such a thick coat but there's no point in worrying about it.

(Amanda) Betty said that Colin was taking a bit of a risk but I have no idea what she meant. It was really nice having my tummy rubbed and I hope he does it again. What do you think Betty was worried about?

(Amanda) Look what a very kind Follower sent us! It's called a 'sundial' and it helps humans to tell the time. Pip put it in the Memorial Garden yesterday, just next to Ken's bench. It's good to have a special place for special things, isn't it?

(Amanda) Sammy massaged my ear for me. It felt really good. I wonder how she knew I would like it? It seems that some humans have a way of knowing what cats like and Sammy is one of them.

(Amanda) I've just noticed how hairy Colin's arms are. I wonder if it's to keep him warm in the winter? And another thing- his hairs are all the same colour, not a nice pattern like mine. I think they would look so much nicer if they wee, what do you think?

(Amanda) Look what's happened to my Nip plant - it's got flowers on! I didn't expect that to happen but they look nice, don't they? I haven't tried eating them yet, do you think they will be alright?
