JUST IN: In a 5-4 ruling today, the conservative-led Supreme Court said it will not strike down partisan gerrymandering in states like North Carolina, where Republicans split up a Black college to win elections

So #SCOTUS ruled in a 5-4 decision that partisan gerrymandering isn't a political question. I don't agree with their logic but then it must be a people question - how every vote should count and how maps are drawn. Stressed and pissed about the decision? Join us All On The Line .

With partisan gerrymandering decision (plus Citizens United/Shelby) Roberts Court has entered a new political Lochner era. This decision tears at the fabric of our democracy and puts the interests of the established few above the many. History will not be kind in its assessment.

This is an actual Republican gerrymandered district (“Goofy kicking Donald Duck”) that was struck down in the last few months by the PENNSYLVANIA Supreme Court. The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision today would apparently have allowed it - allowing democracy to be undermined. Wrong.
