1 simple but powerful action you can take this #AmphibianWeek is to avoid using garden chemicals. Amphibians absorb substances through their skin, making them especially vulnerable to pesticides. Choosing natural alternatives helps keep our species thriving. 💚

The problems in our society are not caused by migrants or refugees. They are caused by an economic system rigged in favour of corporations and billionaires. If the government wanted to improve people’s lives, it would tax the rich and build an economy that works for us all.

This tiny mole had a lucky escape after a close encounter with a curious cat. 🐱⚠ Spring is a vital time for wildlife - where possible, please reduce your cat's time outside at dawn & dusk to protect vulnerable species. Back underground thanks to quick rescue!🌱 #WildlifeRescue

To grow food, we need nature. The UK Government must increase investment in nature friendly farming. #NatureCantWait Sign and share the petition. action.rspb.org.uk/page/156168/pe…

Remember to check for wildlife if you're tidying gardens this week! 🦔✂️🚫 Let grass grow – but if you must mow, try to leave a corner or edge untouched. Check carefully for #hedgehogs before you start work, then cut it to about a foot tall. Check again before cutting shorter!

Did you know...? Lawns provide a home for beetles, other insects and worms - which can all attract other #wildlife like #hedgehogs! 🪲 🪱 🐜 So let the grass grow long & wait for the wildlife to arrive! 🦔 Good news for lazy gardeners! #FunFactFriday #FridayFact #NoMowMay
