For Community Action Week, Hedgehogs class collected donations to give to the Hope Centre Foodbank in Derby. We were so thankful for everything donated as we know it will make a huge difference!

In Science, we have been using light meters to test the amount of light in different places and collected the data to compare. 💡

Our Eco after school club have grown peas, radish and rocket! They taste so good! Well done. 👏

During out trip to Kenilworth Castle, we learnt about why it was built by the Normans and also completed geography fieldwork for Geography Week. We learnt so much and had a lovely day!

It’s been a busy first week back in Year 1! In Maths we have been looking at capacity and in Geography we have been looking at maps of the world and the equator. In D&T we learned about the differences between fruit and vegetables and in English started writing letters

Today Year 1 and FS Allenton Foundation Stage completed a scooter wash to raise money as part of community week! Everyone had a great time and all the scooters looked sparkling clean by the end 🛴🧼🧽

Our Art Gallery is up and it’s looks amazing! Everyone has worked so hard to create art work in the style of Eric Carle and Matisse Allenton Primary. We look forward to welcoming our grown ups and also pupils from Shelton Infants to the gallery 🎨🖌️

Allenton Community week. Fs and Yr 1 had a charity scooter wash, Yr 6 and Yr 2 had a lovely time reading together, yr 4 collected donations for the Hope Centre Foodbank in Derby. Yr 3 created positivity pebbles for the local community & Yr4 donating to the Children's Book Project

Year 2 have absolutely excelled in their ELS spelling lessons since half term. We’ve been looking at lots of different suffixes and how they change the nature of the word. Well done Year 2, I’m very proud of you! ✍️ Allenton Primary

Myself and Mrs Bayliss created The Pond for Year 2 children: It’s a beautiful space with lots of different activities such as creative, fine motor, phonics and early maths. The Pond is also a safe space for children to regulate their emotions. 🐸💭⭐️ Allenton Primary
