First overnight soybean sale in almost a month. The rumor from last week was Chinese purchases of 500,000 last week and the same again for this week.

There are three separate views of corn yield at this time 1) actual based on proven statistics 2) the market's view and 3) what USDA will say on July 12. We assume USDA will say -5% from trend to now 172.4 bpa. This is not what the market is trading.

For soybeans we expect USDA to leave yields unchanged from trend at 52.0 bpa on Wednesday. Again, the market itself is trading a slightly different number.

Great conversation with Steve Georgy Georgy on the PM #AgriTalk. He even helped Chip Flory better understand what is driving wheat trade and why he thinks wheat is a "ticking time bomb" because of shrinking global stocks. agritalk.com
