I saw some excellent #FENS2020poster today including careful quantification of brainwide inputs to V1 by Prof Aman Saleem's group and heroic intracellular in vivo recordings in PFC by Christoph Schmidt-Hieber's group. Great thing about #FENS2020 is attendees can still check them out for weeks to come!

Our work on how the hippocampus processes novelty to form new memories is now published Nature Communications! Using in vivo ephys, virtual reality and modelling, we found a synaptic signal in DG that could work as a switch from recall to new memory formation. 📜: nature.com/articles/s4146…
