On Workers Memorial Day, America’s unions mourn the workers who have lost their lives or been injured or ill on the job. Every worker should be able to go home at the end of the day safe and healthy, and we’ll keep fighting like hell to make that a reality for EVERY worker.

Council Members Bob Palmosina and Mike Embrescia presented a proclamation on Workers’ Memorial Day, to remember and honor the workers who have lost their lives on the job.

Today, in conjunction with the Allegheny - Fayette County Labor Council and USW Local 3657, we honored Workers' Memorial Day. We remembered our union siblings who have died from workplace accidents, and reaffirmed our commitment to stronger safety and health protections. 💙

Grateful for all of our first responders, IBEW linemen, and public works employees who have been working nonstop to recover from the storm, get the lights back on and keep people safe. They will always be there when we need them.
